French Coast to Canal du Midi

Sommieres is today a mix of the remains of the medieval town with newer buildings that add to or replace the original structures. This lower part of town began to expand in the 13th century. In the main square we watched the locals walk to the bakery and buy their daily breadstick, have a chat before heading home for breakfast (see two old guys).
